Deep Tissue massage works to target underlying issues in chronically tense or contracted areas for clients in need of pain relief. This is the massage for you if you have a stiff neck, lower back tightness or sore shoulders. Our skilled technicians will focus on specifically realigning your deep layers of muscle and connective tissues to target knots and trigger points. Some added benefits from this massage include the release of toxins and improved circulation.

Prenatal massage focuses on addressing the special needs of expecting women. Changes in hormonal levels, from conception through delivery may lead to increased swelling, fatigue, and sometimes anxiety. As the baby grows, a shift in the mother’s center of gravity results in tension to her musculo-skeletal system. Prenatal massage helps alleviate and minimize many of these common discomforts. Specially-designed massage tables, cushions, and side-lying postures are used to prevent putting pressure on the abdomen.

Sports massage is a form of bodywork geared toward participants in athletics. It is used to help prevent injuries, to prepare the body for athletic activity and maintain it in an optimal condition, and to help athletes recover from workouts and injuries. Sports massage concentrates on increasing motion and flexibility, relieving muscle soreness, and promoting a quick recovery from muscle overuse. This form of massage incorporates passive and assisted stretching.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle specialized massage that focuses on assisting the flow of lymphatic fluid within the body to maintain fluid balance, blood circulation, pain reduction, and immune functions.

Cupping Therapy is performed by applying “reverse pressure” to the body, via glass or plastic suction cups that are generally placed or massaged along problem areas, in the direction of natural lymphatic flow. Relief is experienced as the cup pulls the fascia away from the muscle, relaxing it, by breaking down adhesions and knots by helping to increase fluid circulation. This technique helps reduce the buildup of cellular waste, toxins, inflammation, and excess fluids by assisting in dragging them from deep within muscles or soft tissue to the body’s surface, where they can be more efficiently disposed of via the lymphatic system. Cupping may result in skin discoloration that may last a few hours to a couple of days.

Facial cupping is a form of noninvasive treatment that can minimize the effects of aging, sun, and environmental damage. Small cups apply “negative pressure” to lift the facial tissue. The effects brought about by cupping can have several aesthetic benefits that work on both dry and oily skin types.

For maximum results, cupping series are recommended three times a week for 3-6 weeks, following which a maintenance schedule has to be followed.

A paraffin dip moisturizes for softer skin and provides heat therapy for arthritis joint pain relief. Paraffin treatment soothes chronic joint pain and relaxes stiff muscles, and improves blood flow to the treated area, as noted by Therabath, a manufacturer of paraffin treatment products. It increases range of motion for people with arthritis, bursitis and other chronic conditions that cause pain and stiffness. Paraffin treatments also smooth and soften dry, chapped, rough and scaly skin. It can also be helpful for chronic skin disorders such as eczema and psoriasis.
